The HYBRID 1S dental suction device is an important tool in dentistry, especially for assisting in treatments such as surgery, fillings, scaling, or implant placement.
This is an extra-oral suction device commonly used to remove aerosols, droplets, and liquids that may contain bacteria/viruses from the patient's mouth, ensuring hygiene and safety for both dentists and patients.
Functions of the MGF Hybrid 1S surgical suction machine
1. Aerosol & Droplet Suction
During dental procedures such as scaling, drilling, and surgery, droplets containing saliva, blood, and bacteria are generated. The HYBRID 1S will capture and filter these aerosols right outside the oral cavity, preventing them from spreading into the air and causing cross-contamination.
2. Air purification - Disinfection using HEPA and UV rays.
The machine is equipped with an H13/H14 HEPA filter capable of filtering up to 99.97% of bacteria, viruses, and fine dust particles as small as 0.3 microns.
Combined with a UV-C germicidal lamp, it helps to kill any remaining microorganisms after passing through the filter.
3. Odor removal and air purification
Some dental procedures produce chemical odors or biological fumes (such as from tooth pulp).
The machine has an activated carbon filter that helps remove odors and absorb volatile organic compounds (VOCs), keeping the air fresh.
4. Reduce the risk of cross-infection.
Protect doctors, medical assistants, and patients by preventing the spread of viruses and bacteria through aerosols.
5. Support in creating a sterile treatment environment.
Combined with intra-oral suction devices, HYBRID 1S creates a cleaner and safer treatment environment.
Reduces the need for FFP3 masks or heavy protective layers as the device handles most of the risk of transmission.
Operating principle of the HYBRID 1S dental suction machine
1. Suctioning droplets and aerosols from the oral cavity
When dentists perform dental procedures (such as scaling, grinding, drilling, etc.), droplets, aerosols, and particles containing bacteria/viruses are released into the air.
The HYBRID 1S suction tip is placed outside the patient's mouth (approximately 10–20 cm) to draw all of this air into the device.
2. Air is passed through a multi-stage filtration system.
After being drawn in, the polluted air is processed through 3 filtration stages:
Pre-filter:
- Removes large dust particles, hair, and suspended particles in the air.
- Protects the subsequent filter layers from becoming dirty too quickly.
HEPA H13 or H14 Filter:
- Filters out extremely small dust particles and microorganisms (~0.3 microns).
- Removes 99.97% of bacteria, viruses, fungal spores, PM2.5 fine dust, etc.
Activated Carbon Filter:
- Absorbs odors, toxic gases, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
- Contributes to air purification, keeping the clinic free of unpleasant odors.
3. UV-C sterilization
- After passing through the filtration system, the airflow continues through a high-power UV-C lamp.
- UV-C (wavelength 253.7 nm) helps break down the DNA and RNA of bacteria/viruses, ensuring complete sterility before the air is released.
4. Release the clean air.
- The air, after being filtered and disinfected, will be released into the environment.
- This ensures there is no re-spread of viruses/bacteria, keeping the treatment room safe.
